More About the Program

With a stipend of $400 for the season, these ambassadors will:

  • Be charged with helping us extend our student membership program by marketing it to their peers through on-campus events, social media marketing, and creative grassroots marketing tactics, with our support (physical and financial). Our student membership program is free to join and offers students $10 tickets to each production in our season. It's the best deal in the city and we want to spread the word.
  • Join us for monthly ambassador meetings at Playwrights Horizons on 42nd Street, NYC where they will meet with our staff and artists to learn about theater making and pursuing a career in the arts, hang out with their peers, and get geared up to share and celebrate our work and our student membership program in their college community (we will provide nosh and cover travel expenses, of course).
  • Gain paid professional experience for their resume (we are happy to offer a stipend of $400 for the season: September-May), with the expectation that they would dedicate 20 hours over the course of the year to promote the student membership program in the community and help us sign up 20 students for the free program during that time.
  • Get a pair of free tickets to each of the six productions in our season.
  • Provide valuable marketing and programming feedback to our team so that we can better connect with this audience.
